Product detailed description
Overview
A delicious sheng puer tea from the Mangzhi Tea Mountain (莽枝), which was pressed in the spring of 2024. The tea leaves come from ancient tea trees (gushu 古树), the top-quality tea trees with the most complex taste, sweetness and vitality. This tea was generously provided to us by the Zhou family (Zhoujie and Mengmeng), a couple living in Jiabu village (架布) who source their teas from six ancient tea mountains (Guliudachashan 古六大茶山). During our work trip to Xishuangbanna at the beginning of 2025, we spent quite a lot of time travelling and exploring several tea gardens and tasting various teas from the Mengla area (勐腊). This tea has a sparkling golden color and a pleasant orchid-honey aroma. While we were drinking at Zhou's tea house, we especially appreciated its distinctive orchid-honey taste, a characteristic trait of Mangzhi Tea Moutain and one of the reasons why this region is so in demand.
