Product detailed description
Overview
A delicious sheng puer tea from the Nanben village (Nanbeng Laozhai 南本老寨) at Mengsong Tea Mountain (勐宋), which was pressed in the spring of 2022. The tea leaves come from ancient tea trees (gushu 古树), the top-quality tea trees with the most complex taste, sweetness and vitality. This tea was generously provided to us by Dao Yajin, a Qiong's relatives living in Nanbeng village. We met them in February 2025 during our work trip to Xishuangbanna, where we visited both their tea gardens and a small family tea factory. We were very impressed by the wildness and richness of the Nanbeng's tea gardens, which are very different from those in Zhanglang village (one of the oldest village in Bada Tea Mountain). During our stay at Dao's family, we fell in love into this sparkling golden-ochre gem with a pleasant honey-nutty aroma. The tea tastes like dry citrus and herbs. The tea has a very thick pudding-curd texture, which you more expect at archived sheng puers or shu puers.
