Product detailed description
Overview
Royal sheng puer tea from Manzhuan Tea Mountain (蛮砖), which was pressed in the spring of 2023. The tea leaves come from ancient tea trees (gushu 古树) and were processed by Yibang Manor (倚邦庄园) tea factory, which was established in 2014 by Shanshan's classmate Yongwei. Yongwei belongs to the Yi ethnic group (彝族), which produces premium and royal quality teas from ancient tea mountains. His production belongs to one of the best from Xishuangbanna, which you can currently find at us.
This tea comes from the limited edition "Six Ancient Tea Mountains" (guliu dachashan 古六大茶山), comprising six tea cakes: Yibang (倚邦), Yiwu (易武), Mangzhi (莽枝), Gedeng (革登), Manzhuan (蛮砖), and Youle (攸乐), which we now sell both individually and as a set. Although the year 2023 negatively impacted the overall tea harvest due to extreme drought, the dry weather positively contributed to the improvement of the tea's flavor characteristics, which you can experience yourself. The tea is sold in the form of a pressed cake (bingcha 饼茶) weighing 357 grams, which is suitable for long-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 31-07-2024)
- Aroma: An intense honey-floral hint with tones of freshly cut grass
- Colour: The tea transitions from sparkling golden tones to light yellow-honey shades
- Taste: Flowers (lily and rose) and green herbs (Asian mint and nettle) turning into creamy (sweet sugar icing on pastries and vanilla cream) and honey tones
