Overview
Ripe sheng puer tea from Yiwu Tea Mountain (易武), which was pressed in the spring of 2013. The tea leaves are a mix of tea leaves with the prevalence of ancient/mature tea trees (gushu 古树 and qiaomu 乔木) and were processed by Menghai Ruigong Chachang (勐海瑞贡茶厂). Tea comes from Shanshan's friend Yuguang, who belongs to the Dai ethnic group (傣族). Her family worked in various tea factories, which is why you can taste part of the tea production from the famous and non-existent Menghai Tea Factory (Menghai Chachang 勐海茶厂) since 2004. The tea is sold in the form of 357 g tea cakes (bingcha 饼茶), which is suitable for long-term storage.

  • Aroma:  Medium smoky scent with hay tones (hay, banana leaves and corn cane)
  • Colour: The tea changes between transparent yellow-brown tones to dark orange-honey shades
  • Taste: Dried pulp (chestnuts, boiled egg yolk and egg fruit), fried legumes (corn, green pea and soya beans) and ripe citruses (quince and pomelo) turning into sweet honey, wood and sweet tobacco
