Overview
Premium sheng puer tea from the Mansong tea village (曼松) at the Yibang Tea Mountain (倚邦), which was harvested in the spring of 2023. The tea leaves are from mixed tea leaves with the prevalence of ancient/mature tea trees (gushu 古树 and qiaomu 乔木) and were hand-picked and processed by Shanshan's friend Meng. Meng belongs to the Yi ethnic group (彝族) and focuses on producing teas from Yibang tea area (倚邦). The Yibang teas (倚邦) are often characterized by a distinctive sweet-fruity profile. The tea is sold in the form of 250 g tea bricks (chazhuan 茶砖) with less caffeine content (laohuangpian 老黄片), which are suitable for long-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 01-07-2024)
- Aroma: Mild smoky scent with flower-herbal tones
- Colour: The tea changes between transparent yellow-white-green tones to dark honey-ochre shades
- Taste: Citruses sirup (lemon and tangerines), dry fruits (chamomile, dandelion and daisies) and raw fruit (green apple and grapes) turning into dry hay and flower honey tones
