Overview
Premium sheng puer tea from the ancient tea mountain Youle (攸乐), which was harvested in the spring of 2022. The tea leaves come from old tea trees (dashu 大树) and were hand-picked and processed by Shanshan's cousin Xingmei from her home village. Xingmei belongs to the Jinuo ethnic minority (基诺) and focuses on producing teas from the Youle (攸乐) tea area, which are characterized by a distinctive flower-fruity profile with slower development of taste. The tea is sold in the form of a loose tea (maocha 毛茶), which is suitable for long-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 17-12-2023)
- Aroma: Flower-fruity scent with mild smoky tones
- Colour: The tea changes between yellow-orange tones to transparent honey-ochre shades
- Taste: Stone fruits (cherries, tomatoes and wild olives), flowers (dandelion and chamomile), hay turning into sugar honey
