Overview
Premium sheng puer tea from the ancient tea village of Zhanglang (章朗), which was harvested in the spring of 2023. The tea leaves come from old tea trees (dashu 大树) and were hand-picked and processed by Shanshan's cousin Yushan. Yushan belongs to the Bulang ethnic group (布朗) and focuses on producing teas from the Bada (巴达) tea area, which are characterized by a distinctive citrus, smoky, and fruity profile. The tea is sold in the form of a pressed 100 g tea cakes (bingcha 饼茶), which is suitable for long-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 05-07-2024)
- Aroma: Medium smoky scent with flower-citruses tones
- Colour: The tea changes between yellow-orange tones to transparent honey-ochre shades
- Taste: Fresh citruses (lemon and pomelo) and flowers (lemon grass) turning into herbal tones with a hint of left-over rice
