Product detailed description
Overview
Premium ripe puerh tea from ancient Zhanglang village (章朗), which was harvested in the spring of 2012. The tea leaves come from old tea trees (dashu 大树) and were picked and processed by Yushan's neighbor, Yuyan. Yuyan belongs to the Bulang ethnic group (布朗) and focuses on producing teas from Bada mountain (巴达). Bada teas (巴达) can be characterized by a distinctive citrus, smoky, and fruity profile. The tea is sold in the form of sun-dried loose tea (shaiqing maocha 晒青毛茶), which is suitable for long-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 05-12-2024)
- Aroma: Wooden-nutty scent with mild smoky tones
- Colour: The tea changes between transparent red-brown-honey tones to darker caramel-red shades
- Taste: Roasted nuts (chestnuts and walnuts), spices (black pepper, cinnamon and clover) and pastry (nut cupcakes and nut-cream cakes) with tones of sweet molasses, roasted sweet potato, pine tree bark and salt caramel
