Product detailed description
Overview
Premium ripe pu-erh tea from the Jingmai tea mountain area (景迈), which was harvested in the autumn of 2013. The tea leaves come from old trees (dashu 大树) and were processed by Shanshan's friend Qiong. Qiong belongs to the Han ethnic group (汉族) and focuses on producing teas from the Menghai area (勐海). The Jingmai teas (景迈) are often characterized by a distinctive cacao-chocolate and lily profile with flower-fruit tones. The tea is sold in the form of 100 g tea nests (tuocha 沱茶), which are suitable for long-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 15-07-2024)
- Aroma: A subtle hint of pine trees with honey tones
- Colour: The tea transitions from transparent red-caramel tones to darker brown-ochre shades
- Taste: Fruit compotes (blueberries and blackberries), instant hot chocolate drinks (Granko and Ovomaltine) and juicy herbs (liquorice and anise) with sweet woody-sour bread notes
