Overview
Premium ripe puerh tea from the ancient tea village of Zhanglang (章朗), which was harvested in the autumn of 2018. The tea leaves come from old tea trees (dashu 大树) and were processed by Shanshan's cousin Yushan. Yushan belongs to the Bulang ethnic group (布朗) and focuses on producing teas from the Bada (巴达) tea area, which are characterized by a distinctive citrus, smoky, and fruity profile. The tea is sold in the form of loose tea (maocha 毛茶), which is suitable for long-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 15-07-2024)
- Aroma: Hint of hard sour bread and polished wood with stone-fruit tones (black currant and blackberry)
- Colour: The tea changes between transparent brown-caramel tones to darker brown-honey shades
- Taste: Wood sorrel, spices (cinnamon) and fresh herbs (dill) turning into sweet honey-earthy tones
