Overview
Banna ripe pu-erh tea from the Bulang tea mountain area (布朗), which was harvested in the autumn of 2021. The tea leaves come from old trees (dashu 大树) and were processed by Shanshan's cousin Yukan. Yukan belongs to the Bulang ethnic minority (布朗) and focuses on producing teas from the new tea mountains areas, particularly Bada (巴达), Bulang (布朗), Mengsong (勐宋) and Nannuo (南糯) mountain areas. The Bulang teas are often characterized by a distinctive smokiness and bitter-sweet profile. The tea is sold in the form of a tea tangerines (xiaoqingan 小青玵), where you can prepare your tea without measuring the amount. Each tea tangerine weighs about 9 g (± 10 %). Tea is suitable for long-term storage.

Gift box
The gift box is made of waterproof aluminium. With this tea box, you'll be able to prevent oxidation, block light, and avoid other negative factors affecting the tea's flavour. The tea box features the Banna House logo and descriptive stickers, including recommended tea preparation. In the gift package, you will find 6 tea tangerines (xiaoqingan 小青玵) with a total weight of 50 g (± 5%).

Tea profile (akt. 30-11-2023)

• Aroma:  Sweet pastry scent with honey tones
• Colour: The tea transitions from transparent brown-ochre tones to dark orange-honey shades
• Taste: Mix of sweet pastry (apple strudel, egg biscuits and honeycake), spices (cinnamon and vanilla) with citrus tones turning into sweet caramel candies and forest honey

Note:

Please, do not be afraid of white discolourization of tangerine skin. This phenomenon is caused by the crystallisation of oil inside the peel that forms after sun drying and low-temperature baking processes. These essential oils are not harmful to your health and are widely known as a "white frost", which is different from mould.
