Product detailed description
Overview
Premium ripe pu-erh tea from the Menghai area (勐海), which was harvested in the autumn of 2015. The tea leaves come from old trees (laoshu 老树) and were hand-picked and processed by Shanshan's friend Qiong. Qiong belongs to the Han ethnic minority (汉族) and focuses on producing teas from the Menghai area (勐海). The tea is sold in the form of tea heads (laochatou 老茶头), which are suitable for long-term storage. Tea heads (laochatou 老茶头) represent a group of tea nuggets predominantly made by sticky tea buds during the fermentation, which are usually more sweeter than the regular shu puer tea (熟茶).
Gift box
The gift box is made of waterproof plastic. With this tea box, you'll be able to prevent oxidation, block light, and avoid other negative factors affecting the tea's flavour. The tea box has a basic descriptive sticker. In the gift package, you will find tea heads (laochatou 老茶头) with a total weight of 30 g (± 5%).
Tea profile (akt. 27-02-2024)
- Aroma: A spicy-woody hint with dried stone fruit notes and soft wooden ash fragrance
- Colour: The tea turns from light brown-caramel tones to darker brown-ochre shades
- Taste: A combination of spices (cinnamon and coffee ground) and sweet pastries (Christmas bread, crescent rolls, and cinnamon rolls) turning into sour-sweet fruity notes (apricot and peach)
