Overview
The teacup tray (known as beidian 杯垫) is a traditional tool that has been used for centuries to hold the bottom part of your teaware. The teacup tray became especially popular during the Tang dynasty (618-907) and was made from various materials such as bamboo, metal, resin, clay or porcelain due to their water-resistant properties. Bamboo, known for its strength and natural resistance to moisture, is an ideal material for working with tea. The teacup tray is made from a combination of wood and bamboo.
