TBAI021 - Zhanglang Gushu Baicha 2023
Product detailed description
Overview
Premium white tea from the ancient tea village of Zhanglang (章朗), which was harvested in the spring of 2023. The tea leaves come from ancient tea trees (gushu 古树) and were hand-picked and processed by Shanshan's cousin Yukan. Yukan belongs to the Bulang ethnic group (布朗) and focuses on producing teas from Bada (巴达), Bulang (布朗), Mengsong (勐宋) and Nannuo (南糯) mountain areas. The Bada teas are often characterized by a distinctive citrus, smoky, and fruity profile. The tea is sold in the form of a pressed tea cake (bingcha 饼茶) weighing 200 g, which is suitable for long-term storage. The tea cake was pre-cut with small creases, which allow you to divide the tea cake without using a tea knife.
Tea profile (akt. 08-01-2025)
- Aroma: Intense sweet pastry fragrance with honey-flower tones
- Colour: The tea changes between bright white-yellow tones to transparent golden-ochre shades
- Taste: Sweet pastry (cakes filled with sweet vanilla pudding cream and mochi) and blooming flowers (violets, plumeria and lilies) with tones of honey freshly harvested from the honeycomb
