Overview
Wild tea buds from the Mengsong tea mountain (勐宋), which were harvested in the spring of 2024. The tea buds come from old wild tea trees (yesheng 野生) and were hand-picked and processed by Shanshan's tea mentor, Liang. Liang belongs to the Han ethnic group (汉族), which produces premium and limited tea editions from new and ancient tea mountains. The tea is sold as 100 g tea cakes made from tea buds (yabao bingcha 芽苞茶饼), which are suitable for short-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 11-11-2024)
- Aroma: Intense sweet pastry fragrance (honey cake and creamy cakes) and spices with sweet flower-honey tones
- Colour: The tea changes between bright white-green tones to transparent golden-green-white shades
- Taste: Fresh vegetables (cucumber, zucchini and squash), spices (cinnamon, clover and green pepper) and fruit (forest strawberries) turning into sweet wooden-honey tones
