Product detailed description
Overview
Premium white tea from the ancient tea village of Manwa (慢瓦), which was harvested in the spring of 2020. The tea leaves come from ancient tea trees (gushu 古树) and were hand-picked and processed by Shanshan's cousin Yukan. Yukan belongs to the Bulang ethnic group (布朗) and focuses on producing teas from Bada (巴达), Bulang (布朗), Mengsong (勐宋) and Nannuo (南糯) mountain areas. The Bada teas are often characterized by a distinctive citrus, smoky, and fruity profile. The tea is sold in the form of a pressed tea cake (bingcha 饼茶) weighing 200 g, which is suitable for long-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 11-07-2024)
- Aroma: Intense flower-citrus fragrance with mild smoky scent and honey tones
- Colour: The tea changes between bright yellow-orange tones to transparent golden-brown shades
- Taste: Juicy citruses (lemons, tangerines, oranges and pomelo), stone fruits (apricots and figs) turning into sweet pastry (sugar icing) with wooden-honey tones
