Overview
Wild tea buds from the ancient tea village of Zhanglang (章朗), which was harvested in the spring of 2024. The tea buds come from old wild tea trees (yesheng 野生) and were hand-picked and processed by Shanshan's cousin Yushan. Yushan belongs to the Bulang ethnic group (布朗) and focuses on producing teas from the Bada (巴达) tea area, which are characterized by a distinctive citrus, smoky, and fruity profile. The tea is sold in the form of tea buds (yabao 芽苞), which are suitable for short-term storage.
Tea profile (akt. 12-07-2024)
- Aroma: Intense sweet pastry fragrance (sponge cake and honey cake) with sweet flower-fruity tones
- Colour: The tea changes between bright white-green tones to transparent golden-white shades
- Taste: Sweet desserts (sweet sugar icing, buttercream and vanilla pudding), fresh vegetables (zucchini, squash and over-size cucumber) and spices (green pepper) with sweet honey tones
