| After a month-long work trip in Xishuangbanna in Spring 2025, we want to share another piece of Xishuangbanna tea culture!
| This time, we would like to talk about Mengmeng and Zhoujie, a couple living in Jiabu village (架布) who source their teas from six ancient tea mountains (Guliudachashan 古六大茶山). During our work trip to Xishuangbanna at the beginning of 2025, we spent quite a lot of time travelling and exploring several tea gardens and tasting various teas from the Mengla area (勐腊).
| What is behind her teas? How her teas taste? How people from Ancient Tea Mountains live? From where they source their teas? And what are the current challenges of making teas in Mengla area? During the presentation, we will taste four teas from Mangzhi (莽枝) and Yibang Ancient Tea Mountains (倚邦) to better understand the common traits and strong demand for Mengla teas.
