| After a month-long work trip in Xishuangbanna in Spring 2025, we want to share another piece of Xishuangbanna tea culture!

| This time, we would like to talk about Yunnan Baicha (云南白茶), a white tea which became more demanded in early 2000s. While the white tea production is traditionally associated with Fujian (like Baihao Yinzhen and Shoumei), the broad-leaf type of Camellia Sinensis var. Assamica provides a new experience from drinking white teas.

| In recent years, many tea drinkers fell in love in aged Yunnan Baicha. Similarly like the aged sheng puer teas, the taste may significantly change and provide much sweeter and more complex layers over time. Despite the growing production of white teas in Yunnan Province, the Yunnan Baicha production from the Mengla area (勐腊) is still very limited and scarce.

| What is behind the growing popularity? How does Yunnan baicha from Mengla and Menghai taste? And what are the current challenges of aged white teas in Yunnan Province? During the presentation, we will look at four white teas from Mengla and Menghai region to better understand the stark contrast between these regions.

| The entrance fee is voluntary. The number of seats is limited. Please, book your seat in advance at info@bannahouse.cz. Thank you for your attention and we are looking to sharing tea with you at our Tea Chamber!
